Resolution of Consciousness

12 October 2019 · 2 min read

I feel as though our journey through life is fundamentally one of resolution. Reality is infinitely vast, and deep. As we continuously realign with, and embrace that depth, we integrate the capacity to experience reality at higher resolution, especially on our perceptual, and emotional layers. So to compare this concept to the way we watch media through screens, instead of perceiving reality from a 10 inch black and white TV, we refine and expand our capacity like moving up to technicolor, then 780p, then 1080p then 4k, then 8k with Dolby surround sound and beyond, only the experience isn't limited to our sight, and hearing, but encompasses our entire perception of life

We're all here experiencing the same universe, but this concept of resolution is a very personal and individual one. Depending on where we are in our personal journey, our experience of life's richness, and subtly shifts, and expands to incorporate varying degrees of depth. Fear, hatred, greed, selfishness, dishonesty, control, etc... are such low resolution structural views of the experience, that promote and perpetuate suffering, but many people are beginning to see beyond those limited structures. That view of life begins to seem limited, unhealthy, and unbearable to people moving to higher resolution, even though those same dynamics seem essential, obvious, and unavoidable to people experiencing life from that level of resolution

Looking back exclusively at media history, it would appear that the life was silent, and greyscale in the past. It wasn't, but technology available at the time could only present it at that level of resolution. I hope that someday we will similarly look back on our current experience of reality and see it as one of incredibly low resolution
